Welcome to SUP Shack, your locally owned paddleboard and kayak rental shop in beautiful Santa Cruz Harbor, California!
Since 2011, we’ve been helping locals and visitors experience the joy of paddling on the Monterey Bay coast.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing kayak adventure, your first stand-up paddleboarding lesson, or a fun outdoor activity with friends and family, SUP Shack has something for everyone.
We offer stand-up paddleboard and kayak rentals, beginner SUP lessons, private group experiences, corporate team-building events and seasonal paddling adventures.
Located near Twin Lakes Beach and the Crow’s Nest restaurant, SUP Shack is the perfect starting point for exploring Santa Cruz Harbor and enjoying its abundant marine wildlife.

SUP Shack Hours & Reservations
Open Year-Round — Weather Permitting
Paddleboard and kayak rentals are available year-round, weather permitting. Advance reservations are recommended during our quieter winter months.
Fall & Winter Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Reservations recommended.
Spring & Summer: Extended hours available.

I love the location, staff, and adventuresome spirit at the SUP shack! Literally on the water, so you don't have to carry the board far and it's easy to put in from the dock. Super convenient easy stand-up paddle rentals! They'll drop your board in the harbor which is always calm and full of marine life: otters, sea lions. If you've ever wanted to try SUP, this is the place to do it! You will be hooked!
