Level: Beginner to intermediate (Must be able to swim prior to joining the class)

Duration: Five days, four hours each day : 9am – 1pm.

Kids Camps

Summer Camps at the SUP Shack gets your kids standing up, paddling and play games with our experienced staff in a safe and friendly learning environment. Teaching our campers best paddling practices,  trash pick-up both in the Santa Cruz Harbor and on the Twin Lakes beach, monitoring the harbor creatures, safety, and harbor sup etiquette.

Fun includes SUP camp t-shirt design – each paddler gets a T-shirt and hat to design. Games on the beaches, snacks, harbor clean up and conservation..

Photos will be taken at all sessions and can be emailed to parents.

Life vests are provided for all ages and must be worn.

Explorer’s Groms Camp :  8 – 11 years 

10th June – 14th June

8th July – 12th July

First-time paddler – not paddled much.

The Explorers Groms Camp is the perfect way for your younger kids to enjoy and explore the fun of stand up paddling in a safe and friendly learning environment.  Campers learn to paddle confidently around the Santa Cruz Harbor.

 

Explorer’s Teen Camp :  12 – 17 years

17th June – 21st June

15th July – 19th July

5th August – 9th August

First-time paddler – not paddled much.

The Explorers Teen Camp is fabulous for teens that have never paddled before, or are new to paddling.

By the end of the week all teen explorers will be able to confidently paddle around the Santa Cruz Harbor.  We teach the campers the importance of being Guardians of the Oceans – reducing plastic usage, clean up and protecting the wildlife

 

Adventurer’s Teen Camp :  12 – 17 years 

24th June – 28th June

29th July – 2nd August

Experienced can paddle around the harbor.

5 Day kids camp is a fabulous way for campers to improve their paddling skills. It is important that campers have paddled before as we will be padding around the Santa Cruz Harbor and if weather permitting out on to the ocean to the Santa Cruz Wharf.

Each day paddlers will learn a new skills, perfecting their balance, steering, wildlife education, and water safety.

Campers will be able to paddle around the Santa Cruz Harbor, safely observing paddling etiquette.

Beach Games – volleyball, smash ball, paddleboarding, boogie boarding, kayaking 

Arts and Crafts – decorate t-shirts and hats. Best t-shirt contest.

  • Campers should bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, water, snack, and lunch daily to class. Bring something warm to wear if the weather is cool.

  • All reservations must be canceled 24 hours prior to the date of reservation to avoid any cancellation fees.

    All reservations are required to be paid prior to your visit to the SUP Shack. This can be done by clicking on the Book Now button. Any bookings canceled within 24 hours are charged in full at the time of reservation. Walk-ins are welcome and are served on a first come, first served basis.
