Level: Beginner to intermediate (Must be able to swim prior to joining the class)
Duration: Summer Camp : June – August Monday – Friday 9am – 1pm
Class Size: 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio. Minimum 4 Maximum 8 kids.

Summer Camp Sessions at the SUP Shack
We keep our classes small, socially distant and active – your kids will be able to spend time Sup’n or kayaking with trips to the beach to go boogie boarding.
Day 1 : Learn to SUP. Getting to know you. Tour around the Santa Cruz Harbor. Water Safety
Day 2 : Games. T-Shirt design. Tour around the Santa Cruz Harbor. Boogie Board – meet the life guards.
Day 3 : Environmental Day – Beach/Harbor Clean Up. Paddle around the harbor. Soccer on the Beach
Day 4 : Kayak Day – Learn how to kayak, discover the Santa Cruz Harbor at water level.
Day 5 : SUPuation Day : Graduation Day : Choice of Kayak or Paddle – Ice Cream Party.
We learn to paddle around the calm harbor waters, if conditions and campers are experienced we get to paddle out on the Bay and see the Santa Cruz Wharf and Boardwalk from a new view.
We teach our campers to be Guardians of the Ocean. The learn about the creatures that live in the Santa Cruz Harbor – the seals, sea lions, birds and sometimes sea otters and dolphins. We learn to keep our oceans clean picking up trash (gloves and sanitizers are provided).
Campers must be able to swim and able to get easily back on their SUPs/kayaks. Healthy and Strong.
Wetsuits are available – $50 per week.
Campers can purchase snacks and lunch at the Beach Market, please bring money for their lunches.
We observe all COVID 19 safety – masks are worn inside any buildings and campers are requested to stay distanced from each other, unless they are in a “POD”

Grand finale of Summer Season – this is a fun week where we get to paddle out on the Monterey Bay, practice race skills and experience more adventure sup. Must have taken the beginner class first.
Kids should bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, water, and snack with them. Bring something warm to wear if the weather is cool.
All reservations must be canceled 24 hours prior to the date of reservation to avoid any cancellation fees.
All reservations are required to be paid prior to your visit to the SUP Shack. This can be done by clicking on the Book Now button. Any bookings canceled within 24 hours are charged in full at the time of reservation. Walk-ins are welcome and are served on a first come, first served basis.
